Off Shore Winch

For years we have built the team, our application portfolio and every day we get to work on projects with global OEM’s and often provide super smart systems, we also provide basic systems and standard off the shelf products. At the moment we tell no one about them and I often have customers say “ that’s really impressive I had no idea you did that”. Now with the help of Emma Jayne Johnston we are going to change that and I am going to post at least 1 application a week to hopefully give everyone a better insight into what we do and how we can help your specific industry.

This week I want to introduce an off shore lowering winch which we developed from scratch a few years back. It Incorporates a centrifugal brake for lowering due to gravity at a controlled speed and then a electrically driven re-instatement system. The system was specifically designed, given full dynamic and static analysis and then finally verified by full load tests. See below some pics of the design testing and analysis.
